How does receipt scanning work?: Snap up to six photos of a grocery receipt on the Scan tab. The photos are read by an AI model that extracts the items, prices, and suggested storage locations, then you review and adjust everything before saving. Receipt photos are not stored.
How do I invite my family?: Settings → Household → Invite. Members you invite see and edit the same shared inventory.
What does marking an item as a staple do?: Staples automatically join the Restock list when they run out or expire, so the things you always keep on hand never fall off the shopping list.
Why am I not getting expiry notifications?: Enable them in Settings → Notifications and make sure notifications are allowed in your device settings. Alerts are sent once daily when items are expiring within three days.
Are the expiry dates accurate?: They’re estimates, worked out from what an item is and where you keep it. Treat them as a reminder, not a food-safety ruling — always check the packaging.
How do I delete my account?: Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your personal data; a household’s shared inventory is deleted when its last member leaves.
